The Subway team was responsible for driving local store traffic and franchise profitability during a time when all restaurant categories have seen a dramatic decline, Quick Service Restaurants being one of the hardest hit. Industry forecasts don’t predict the situation to change any time soon and the resulting scramble to secure share of a shrinking customer base has become trench warfare.
